Editorial policy
Prime Concert Guide aims to make concert-going easier to understand without pretending every choice has one right answer. We write with care, explain our reasoning and make the nature of paid relationships visible.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against suitable material available to us and write within what that material supports. We distinguish established information from interpretation and preference, explain music and venue terms in plain language, and avoid presenting a personal response as a universal audience experience.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made for their relevance to readers. A partnership or paid placement does not guarantee a favourable editorial treatment. Any material made in collaboration with a partner, or placed in exchange for payment or another benefit, will be clearly labelled so readers can recognise the relationship.
Corrections and illustrations
If a reader spots a factual error, they can contact us with the article and the detail in question. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted, making meaningful corrections clear to readers. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when they are, we identify them so they are not mistaken for documentary images.
A concert begins with curiosity
There is no single right way to go to a concert. A little curiosity about the music, the room and your own listening can open up the whole evening.
